Assalamu Alaikum WRWB. We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. Our Masjid, An-Noor, is currently under contract to purchase a new four-story building in the heart of Jackson Heights on 37th avenue and 75th street. This building is over 10,000 square feet and consists of commercial space on the first two floors and 10 apartments on the top two floors. ​ This is a significant step for our Masjid, as we have been at our current rental place for eight years. While we have appreciated our time there, we have been looking for a permanent location that we can call our own. This new building offers us the opportunity to create a space that truly meets the needs of our community and provides a stable foundation for our future growth and development. ​ The new building is very accessible from trains, buses, and other modes of transportation. It will allow us to serve the people between 74th street and 95th, as there are no other masjids in this area. Moreover, this will be the largest capacity masjid in Jackson Heights, providing ample space for our growing community. ​ This new space will have fantastic facilities for our community, especially our youth, kids, and sisters. We will have dedicated spaces for our children to learn and play. Our youth will have a safe and welcoming environment where they can socialize, learn, and grow together. And our sisters will have their own dedicated spaces where they can come together, pray, and engage in community activities. ​ At An-Noor, we are committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all members of our community. This new building offers us a unique opportunity to expand our offerings and better serve the needs of our community, both now and in the future. ​ However, we cannot do this alone. We need your support and duaa to make this a reality.
